Keeping AI NOW Fresno Online!
On July 22 and 23, Streaming Media Live traveled to Fresno to support AI NOW, a hands-on conference hosted by the California Association of Realtors.

Our company is normally called on to provide live production and transmission services, but this event required a different type of solution. The client needed onsite audiovisual support for its presenters, along with reliable internet strong enough to support an entire room of attendees actively using online AI platforms throughout the program.
The presenters shared how artificial intelligence is being used in the real estate industry and demonstrated ways realtors can use these tools to improve, expand and simplify their work. Because this was an interactive event, attendees were not only listening to presentations, they were following along on their own laptops and mobile devices.
That meant a regular venue Wi-Fi connection was not going to be enough.
Creating the Right Internet Solution
Our engineer and technicians developed a temporary internet system using five active Starlink terminals, with a sixth Starlink prepared as a backup.
One of the first challenges was finding the right location for the terminals. Each Starlink needed a clear enough view of the sky to receive a strong and consistent signal. After evaluating the venue and the available setup areas, our team placed the terminals on top of the Streaming Media Live Sprinter van.

The location worked perfectly. It gave the Starlinks the visibility they needed while also allowing our team to keep the equipment, cabling and technical operations together in one controlled area.
Instead of placing every attendee on one crowded Wi-Fi network, our team created five separate networks and divided the room’s internet traffic between them. This allowed the available bandwidth to be spread across the venue and helped prevent any single network from becoming overloaded.
Together, the five Starlink connections provided approximately 1.2 gigabits per second of aggregate download capacity.
The event was originally expected to have approximately 120 attendees, but at its busiest point, the system supported around 165 connected devices. Many attendees had both a laptop and a phone connected, while presenters, staff members and production equipment created additional demand.
Even with more devices than originally expected, the networks remained reliable throughout the event.
Supporting the Presenters and the Room
In addition to providing the internet infrastructure, Streaming Media Live also assisted with the event’s onsite audiovisual needs.
Our team supported the presenters as they shared their AI tools, presentations and real-world examples with the audience. We helped make sure the audio and visual elements of each presentation were working properly so the presenters could focus on educating attendees rather than troubleshooting equipment.
Throughout the program, our technicians monitored the five networks, helped attendees connect and remained available to address any technical needs that came up.

The result was exactly what we hoped for: attendees, presenters and staff were able to stay connected without experiencing Wi-Fi problems or interruptions.
The California Association of Realtors was very happy with the outcome, and both attendees and staff were pleased with the strength and reliability of the internet system.
We are extremely grateful to the California Association of Realtors for trusting Streaming Media Live to provide the onsite technical, audiovisual and internet support for AI NOW Fresno.
A special thank you to Thomas, Bobby and Peter for working together to develop and execute the solution!
